Term 3 Week 1

What a week! We have enjoyed listening to details of everyone's holiday adventures. It certainly sounds like a lot of fun was had by all!
We wrote about our holidays in an acrostic poem.

Room 21 has taken a special interest in learning about sharks. We have learnt that sharks are unique creatures and we need to look after them by ensuring our rubbish goes into bins and not into our oceans. Next week at Koru Assembly we will celebrate our learning. Here is a photo of Room 21 practising our Shark song for assembly.

We welcome Tom Shi from China who is joining Room 21 for the next 5 weeks. We are enjoying getting to know him and how life for children in China is different from those in New Zealand.
Welcome Tom!

What fabulous learning....

What an exciting time Room 21 has had the last few weeks...

Today children presented their plays to the class.
At the end of next term we will revisit plays and practise new plays to present to our family.

In Maths we have been learning about volume and capacity. We made posters to explain the difference and made oobleck and bubble mixture to demonstrate the importance of measuring correctly.

We had Andy from Auckland Transport come in and talk to us about the importance of crossing the road safely. We made cool badges to teach others the right thing to do!

Well done Himanshu on earning a certificate at Assembly!

Way to go Room 21. We received the Best Class Trophy at Assembly!

Happy Holidays Room 21!
